"Discovering sea glass on a wind-swept beach during a chance trip was the moment my past met my future".

All of the sea glass used in Oceano designs is guaranteed authentic. Its shape and surface created solely by the powerful force and rich salinity of the sea. It is not altered, cut or conditioned in anyway. It's just as it was found -- shaped by the ocean waves.

The sea glass selected for our designs may have originated from anywhere in the world, but it is found mainly on the shores of Puerto Rico, California, Hawaii and Oregon.  We have the pleasure of collecting a great deal directly from the beach ourselves.  The rest is supplied from gatherers who are fellow members of The National Sea Glass Association, an organization that governs and protects the integrity of natural sea glass.

When my sisters and I were little, our grandmother made clothes for our dolls. Together we combed through scraps of fabric, lace, and odd buttons from which came fabulous little dresses.  It was like magic! Coming from a family of seamstresses means I have a love of anything tactile and a yen to do something useful with my hands.  A native of Pennsylvania,  at 18 I left for New York City to study at the School of Visual Arts.  For further training, I attended classes at the Revere Academy of Jewelry in San Francisco.

Now, with a Caribbean home base -- the ocean, beach and natural world are pure inspiration.  "Beach memories forever" is my goal and my promise to you. The bliss of an endless summer, full of simple pleasures -- combing the shoreline for shells, iced lemonade, towering sand castles, star-lit skies. To be enjoyed wherever you are!
